I have a 10 year old niece who taught me a productivity hack. And it’s better than a to-do list.
We all know how productive a to-do list is. We’ve always been told, and some of us have practiced, that putting together a list of tasks to be accomplished through the day sets your day in order. At a glance you know what you have to tackle and even more importantly, a list ensures that you don’t forget or miss an important task.
But here’s what happens. While we start off the morning knocking off the items on the list, the day soon takes over. There will be that important con call that will get extended, an urgent mail that has to be drafted and sent, unplanned meetings…with the result that slowly tasks on the to-do list take a backseat and sometimes never get done.
A to-do list is quite overwhelming. But what if you could batch tasks in different sections of the day which also leaves you enough time for the other tasks that have to be done through the day?
I can’t believe that my 10 year old niece thought up of this.
The video below explains in detail this productivity hack which I found better than just a to-do list.
Watch. Leave me a comment telling me what you think and whether you would try this.
