Building a career in design & a life by design.
In a world that taught her to follow the script, she reached instead for the blank canvas.
Preeti Vyas—artist, entrepreneur, mother, seeker—has never just followed a path. She has
drawn her own- stroke by intentional stroke. As the Chairwoman of VGC, one of India’s most
respected brand design consultancies, she didn’t just build a career in design—she built a
life by design.
But her story doesn’t begin in the boardroom.
It begins in a traditional Gujarati home where dreams were often measured in marks and
medals, not imagination. Where art was encouraged as a hobby, never a profession. And
yet, young Preeti dreamed—not in spreadsheets or syllabi, but in shapes, colours, stories.
She didn’t know it was called “design” yet. She only knew it brought her joy.
And then came a moment. A blessing. A soft rebellion wrapped in love.
From his hospital bed, her Dadaji looked her in the eyes and said the words that would
shape her future:
“Jao. Fatteh karo.”
Go. Conquer.
Those words became a compass. They carried her into the National Institute of Design—a
place that didn’t just teach her skills, but unlocked her soul. There, she found her tribe. Her
tempo. Her sense of self.
From NID to the offices of legends like Mohammed Khan and Ravi Gupta, Preeti soaked in
the industry’s best while shaping her own creative identity. She pioneered publication design.
Crafted brand identities that spoke with both style and soul. And eventually, she founded
VGC—not just to build brands, but to build belief in the power of design as a business force.
She called it Designomics—and it wasn’t just a philosophy, it was a revolution.
But as every true creative knows, great design only emerges through tension. Preeti’s
journey was no exception.
Fires destroyed offices. Economic shifts tested her business. Personal challenges
demanded more of her heart than any client ever could. And when her daughter Devi faced
serious health issues, Preeti didn’t flinch. She realigned her world. She moved slower, but
deeper. With fierce devotion, she stepped into motherhood as her most soulful design brief
yet.
And through it all, she continued to create.
She created not just for clients, but for life. She painted. She meditated. She mentored. She
studied the Bhagavad Gita and practised Karma Yoga—not as philosophy, but as daily
discipline. In those sacred verses, she found not just clarity, but courage. A new kind of
power—the kind that doesn’t shout, but shines.
Today, Preeti Vyas stands as a rare blend of creative energy and spiritual poise. She leads
VGC with quiet excellence, authenticity, and a commitment to design that uplifts, not just
sells. She doesn’t chase every trend. She chases truth. And she teaches others to do the
same.
Her success is not a product of ambition alone.
It is the result of alignment with purpose, with peace, and with her own rhythm.
As she says:
“Becoming is not about striving. It’s about flowing with grace, with depth, with who
you truly are.”
This is not just a story of a woman who made it.
This is the story of a woman who made herself.
